Makhdoom
Makhdoom is a title used in South Asia, particularly in Pakistan and India, to refer to a religious leader or spiritual guide. The term is derived from Arabic, meaning "one who is honored" or "one who is revered." Makhdooms often belong to Sufi traditions and are respected for their knowledge of Islam and their ability to provide spiritual guidance to their followers.
In addition to their spiritual roles, Makhdooms may also engage in social and community services, helping to address local issues. They often lead dargahs (shrines) and are involved in various religious ceremonies, fostering a sense of community among their followers.
