Magnus III of Norway
Magnus III of Norway, also known as Magnus Barefoot, was the King of Norway from 1093 until his death in 1103. He was the son of King Sigurd I and is known for his military campaigns in Scotland and Ireland, where he sought to expand Norwegian influence. Magnus was also notable for his efforts to strengthen the monarchy and improve the administration of his kingdom.
During his reign, Magnus III promoted trade and established alliances with other kingdoms. He was a patron of the church and supported the spread of Christianity in Norway. His reign ended when he died during a campaign in Ireland, and he was succeeded by his sons, Sigurd II and Eystein I.
