MPR RI
MPR RI, or the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, is the highest legislative body in Indonesia. It consists of two chambers: the Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (House of Representatives) and the Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (Regional Representative Council). MPR RI is responsible for amending the constitution, electing the president and vice president, and establishing national policies.
The assembly meets periodically to discuss and decide on important national issues. Members of MPR RI are elected through general elections, representing various political parties and regions across Indonesia. This body plays a crucial role in shaping the country's laws and governance.
