DPR RI
The Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI) is the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, serving as the lower house of the Indonesian legislature. It is responsible for making laws, overseeing the government, and representing the interests of the Indonesian people. Members of the DPR RI are elected through a general election and serve a five-year term.
The DPR RI consists of 575 members who are divided into various political parties. They play a crucial role in the legislative process, including proposing and debating laws, as well as approving the national budget. The DPR RI works alongside the Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) to ensure a balanced representation of the country's diverse population.
