Dewan Perwakilan Daerah
The Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) is the Regional Representative Council of Indonesia. It serves as one of the two chambers of the country's legislative body, alongside the Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR). The DPD represents the interests of the provinces and is composed of members elected from each of Indonesia's 34 provinces.
Members of the DPD are tasked with voicing regional concerns and participating in the legislative process. They focus on issues such as regional autonomy, local governance, and development. The DPD plays a crucial role in ensuring that the diverse needs of Indonesia's provinces are considered in national legislation.
