Māori community
The Māori community refers to the indigenous people of New Zealand, known as Aotearoa in the Māori language. They have a rich cultural heritage, including unique traditions, languages, and art forms. The Māori population is organized into various tribes, or iwi, each with its own history and customs.
Māori culture places a strong emphasis on family and community, often expressed through gatherings called hui. These events foster social connections and cultural practices, such as traditional dance (haka) and storytelling. The Māori language, or te reo Māori, is also an essential aspect of their identity and is actively promoted and revitalized within the community.
