Luo people
The Luo people are an ethnic group primarily found in Kenya and Tanzania, with smaller populations in Uganda and South Sudan. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and art. The Luo language, part of the Nilo-Saharan language family, is widely spoken among the community.
Historically, the Luo people are believed to have migrated from West Africa to their current regions. They are predominantly fishermen and farmers, relying on the resources of Lake Victoria for their livelihoods. The Luo community has also made significant contributions to politics, sports, and education in the region.
