Louis XV's Children
Louis XV of France had a total of 10 children, born to his wife, Marie Leszczyńska. Their offspring included five daughters and five sons, with the most notable being Louis, Dauphin of France, who was the heir apparent.
The daughters, known as the Mesdames, were married off to various European nobility to strengthen alliances. The children faced challenges, including the early deaths of several siblings, which was common in royal families of the time. Their upbringing was marked by the opulence of the Palace of Versailles, where they lived under the watchful eye of their parents.
