Lepidus
Lepidus was a Roman politician and military leader who lived during the late Republic. He is best known for being a member of the Second Triumvirate, alongside Julius Caesar's adopted heir Octavian and Mark Antony. The Triumvirate was formed in 43 BCE to consolidate power after the assassination of Caesar.
Initially, Lepidus held significant influence, but his power diminished over time. He was eventually sidelined by Octavian and Antony, leading to his political decline. Lepidus is often remembered as a less prominent figure in Roman history compared to his more famous counterparts.
