Last Emperor of China
The last Emperor of China was Puyi, who ruled from 1908 until the abdication in 1912 following the Xinhai Revolution. He was only two years old when he ascended to the throne of the Qing Dynasty, which was the last imperial dynasty of China. After his abdication, Puyi lived in a changing China, facing various political upheavals.
Puyi was later installed as a puppet emperor by the Japanese in the Manchukuo state during the 1930s. After World War II, he was captured by the Soviet Union and eventually returned to China, where he spent years in prison before becoming a common citizen.
