Langue d'Oc
Langue d'Oc is a group of Romance languages spoken primarily in the southern regions of France, known as Occitania. It includes several dialects, such as Provençal, Languedocien, and Gascon, which share common linguistic features but also have distinct characteristics.
Historically, Langue d'Oc was the language of the troubadours, poets who flourished in the Middle Ages. Although its prominence declined with the rise of French, it remains an important part of regional identity and culture, with efforts to preserve and promote its use in contemporary society.
