LGBTQ+ Pride
LGBTQ+ Pride is a celebration of the diverse identities within the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities, along with other sexual and gender minorities. It aims to promote visibility, acceptance, and equal rights for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Pride events, such as parades and festivals, often take place in June to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in 1969, a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. These gatherings foster a sense of community, encourage self-acceptance, and advocate for social justice.
