Lê dynasty
The Lê dynasty was a significant ruling dynasty in Vietnam that lasted from 1428 to 1789. Founded by Lê Lợi, it marked the end of the Ming dynasty's occupation of Vietnam. The dynasty is known for its strong central government, cultural achievements, and efforts to promote Confucianism, which influenced Vietnamese society and education.
During the Lê dynasty, Vietnam experienced economic growth and territorial expansion. The dynasty is often divided into two periods: the Lê sơ (Early Lê) and the Lê trung hưng (Restored Lê). The latter period saw struggles against the Nguyễn lords and internal conflicts, ultimately leading to the dynasty's decline and the rise of new powers in Vietnam.
