Kunaiform
Kunaiform is an ancient writing system used by the Sumerians in Mesopotamia around 3200 BCE. It is one of the earliest forms of writing and was initially developed for record-keeping purposes, such as tracking trade and agricultural activities. The script consists of wedge-shaped marks made on clay tablets using a stylus.
Over time, Kunaiform evolved to represent sounds and ideas, allowing for more complex communication. It was used by various cultures in the region, including the Akkadians and Babylonians, and remained in use for over three millennia, influencing later writing systems and contributing to the development of literacy in the ancient world.
