Korean Thanksgiving
Korean Thanksgiving, known as Chuseok, is a major harvest festival celebrated in South Korea. It typically occurs in late September or early October, during the full moon of the 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar. Families gather to honor their ancestors through rituals called Charye, offering food and performing traditional ceremonies.
During Chuseok, people enjoy special foods, including songpyeon, a rice cake filled with sweet ingredients. The holiday is also a time for family reunions, where loved ones come together to share meals and celebrate their heritage. Many also participate in outdoor activities, such as traditional games.
