Korean Festivals
Korean festivals are vibrant celebrations that reflect the country's rich culture and traditions. One of the most famous is the Chuseok, a harvest festival where families gather to honor their ancestors and share traditional foods like songpyeon, a rice cake filled with sweet fillings.
Another significant festival is the Seollal, or Lunar New Year, which marks the beginning of the lunar calendar. During this time, people perform ancestral rites called charye, wear traditional clothing known as hanbok, and enjoy special dishes like tteokguk, a rice cake soup that symbolizes the gaining of a year in age.
