Kitanemuk People
The Kitanemuk People are a Native American group originally from the region that is now known as California. They primarily inhabited the area around the Sierra Nevada mountains and the San Joaquin Valley. The Kitanemuk were known for their rich cultural traditions, including basket weaving and hunting.
Historically, the Kitanemuk People lived in small, semi-nomadic communities, relying on local resources for food and shelter. They spoke the Kitanemuk language, which is part of the larger Uto-Aztecan language family. Today, efforts are being made to preserve their cultural heritage and language.
