Kinnaird Head Lighthouse
Kinnaird Head Lighthouse is located in Fraserburgh, Scotland, and was first lit in 1817. Designed by the famous engineer Robert Stevenson, it stands at 21 meters tall and is built from local granite. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships safely into the Moray Firth and has a distinctive white tower with a black lantern.
The lighthouse was automated in 1991, which means it no longer requires a keeper to operate. Today, it is part of the Kinnaird Head Lighthouse Museum, where visitors can learn about its history and the importance of lighthouses in maritime navigation.
