King William II
King William II, also known as William Rufus, was the King of England from 1087 until his death in 1100. He was the third son of William the Conqueror and became king after the death of his brother, King William I. His reign was marked by conflicts with the nobility and the church, as well as military campaigns in Wales and Scotland.
William II was known for his strong personality and assertive rule, often clashing with powerful nobles. He was also a patron of the arts and architecture, contributing to the development of Norman style in England. His reign ended abruptly when he was killed in a hunting accident in the New Forest.
