King Willem II
King Willem II was the monarch of the Netherlands from 1849 until his death in 1849. He was born on December 6, 1792, and became king after the death of his father, King Willem I. His reign was marked by significant political changes, including the introduction of a new constitution in 1848, which limited the powers of the monarchy and increased the role of parliament.
Willem II was also known for his military involvement, particularly during the Belgian Revolution. He played a crucial role in the Dutch response to the uprising, which ultimately led to the separation of Belgium from the Netherlands. His reign ended with his death on March 17, 1849, and he was succeeded by his son, King Willem III.
