King Seonjo
King Seonjo was the 14th king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1567 to 1608. He is known for his efforts to strengthen the central government and improve the military in response to external threats, particularly from the Japanese invasions of Korea (Imjin War) in the late 16th century.
During his reign, King Seonjo faced significant challenges, including political strife and invasions. Despite these difficulties, he is remembered for his patronage of the arts and culture, which flourished during his time, contributing to the rich heritage of the Joseon period.
