King Harshavardhana
King Harshavardhana was a prominent ruler in ancient India, reigning from 606 to 647 CE. He belonged to the Vardhana dynasty and is known for unifying northern India after the decline of the Gupta Empire. His capital was at Kannauj, which became a cultural and political center during his reign.
Harshavardhana was also a patron of the arts and religion, promoting Buddhism and Hinduism. He organized the famous Kanyakubja assembly, attracting scholars and poets from across the region.
