King Amalric II
King Amalric II was a ruler of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, ascending to the throne in 1197. He was the son of King Amalric I and Queen Agnes of Courtenay. His reign was marked by challenges, including conflicts with Muslim forces and internal disputes among the nobility.
Amalric II's rule ended in 1205 when he died without a male heir, leading to a succession crisis. His death contributed to the weakening of the Crusader states in the region, as the kingdom struggled to maintain its power against growing threats from surrounding territories.
