Khas Kingdom
The Khas Kingdom was a historical region located in the western part of present-day Nepal. It emerged in the 12th century and played a significant role in the unification of Nepal under the rule of the Shah dynasty. The kingdom was known for its unique culture, language, and traditions, which were influenced by both Tibetan and Indian civilizations.
The Khas people, who primarily spoke the Khas language, were the dominant ethnic group in the region. The kingdom's strategic location allowed it to control trade routes between India and Tibet, contributing to its economic prosperity. The Khas Kingdom eventually became part of the larger Nepalese state in the 18th century.
