Khandoba
Khandoba is a popular Hindu deity primarily worshipped in the Indian state of Maharashtra. He is often depicted as a warrior god, riding a horse and wielding a sword. Khandoba is considered a form of Shiva and is associated with agriculture, fertility, and the protection of his devotees. His worship is especially prominent among the Mahar and Mali communities.
Khandoba is celebrated through various festivals, with the most notable being Makar Sankranti and Khandoba Jayanti. Temples dedicated to him, such as the one in Jejuri, attract thousands of pilgrims each year. His legends often involve battles against demons, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
