Jurchen Language
The Jurchen language is a now-extinct Tungusic language that was spoken by the Jurchen people in northeastern China. It was primarily used during the Jin Dynasty (1115–1234), which the Jurchens established after conquering the Khitan-led Liao Dynasty. The language is known for its unique script, derived from the Khitan script, which was used to write official documents and inscriptions.
Jurchen is part of the larger Tungusic language family, which includes languages like Manchu and Evenki. Although it has no native speakers today, Jurchen has historical significance and provides insights into the culture and history of the Jurchen people and their interactions with neighboring civilizations.
