John VI
John VI was the King of Portugal from 1816 until 1826. He was born on October 13, 1767, and became king after the death of his mother, Queen Maria I. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including the Napoleonic Wars, which led to the temporary relocation of the Portuguese court to Brazil.
In 1821, John VI returned to Portugal, where he struggled to manage the growing demands for political reform. His reign ended in 1826 when he died, leading to a succession crisis that contributed to a period of instability in the country.
