Pedro IV
Pedro IV was a significant figure in Portuguese history, known for his role as King of Portugal from 1826 to 1828 and again in 1834. He was born on October 4, 1796, and was the son of King John VI of Portugal. His reign was marked by political turmoil and the struggle between liberal and conservative factions in the country.
In addition to his role as king, Pedro IV was also the first Emperor of Brazil, where he played a crucial part in the country's independence from Portugal in 1822. He abdicated the Brazilian throne in favor of his son, Pedro II, and returned to Portugal, where he continued to influence the political landscape until his death on September 24, 1834.
