John Dudley
John Dudley was an English nobleman and politician during the 16th century. He served as the Duke of Northumberland and was a prominent figure in the court of King Edward VI. Dudley played a significant role in the political landscape of England, particularly during the period of the Protestant Reformation.
Dudley is best known for his attempt to control the succession of the English throne after Edward VI's death. He supported the claim of Lady Jane Grey, which ultimately led to his downfall. After Mary I ascended to the throne, Dudley was executed in 1553, marking the end of his political influence.
