John De La Pole
John De La Pole was a prominent figure in late 15th-century England, known for his role as a nobleman and a claimant to the English throne. Born around 1442, he was the son of William de la Pole, the Duke of Suffolk, and was closely associated with the Yorkist faction during the Wars of the Roses. His lineage made him a potential rival to the ruling Tudor dynasty.
De La Pole's political career was marked by his opposition to the Tudors, particularly Henry VII. After the defeat of the Yorkists, he fled to Flanders and later attempted to reclaim his rights to the throne. However, his efforts were unsuccessful, and he was ultimately killed in battle in 1475.
