Yorkist
The term "Yorkist" refers to the supporters of the House of York, a prominent royal family in England during the late 15th century. The House of York was one of the two main factions involved in the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne. The Yorkists were represented by the white rose symbol and were in conflict with the Lancastrians, who used the red rose.
Key figures in the Yorkist faction included Edward IV, who became king after defeating the Lancastrians, and Richard III, his brother, who was the last Yorkist king. The Yorkists aimed to establish their claim to the throne and restore stability in England, but their reign ended with the rise of the Tudor dynasty after the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.
