John Christie (Murderer)
John Christie was a British serial killer active in the 1940s. He is known for murdering at least eight women, including his wife, and for his gruesome methods of killing. Christie lured his victims to his home in Notting Hill, where he would strangle them and then hide their bodies in the garden or in the house.
Arrested in 1953, Christie was tried and convicted for his crimes. He was executed by hanging in 1953, becoming one of the last people to be executed in the United Kingdom. His case raised significant discussions about the justice system and the death penalty.
