Jiva Gosvami
Jiva Gosvami was a prominent theologian and philosopher in the 16th century, known for his contributions to the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition. He was born in 1513 in Bengal, India, and was a key disciple of Rupa Gosvami, one of the principal figures in the movement founded by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Jiva is celebrated for his scholarly works that elaborate on the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.
He played a crucial role in systematizing the philosophy of Vaishnavism and authored several important texts, including the Tattva Sandarbha.
