Jewish-Roman War
The Jewish-Roman War refers to a series of conflicts between the Roman Empire and the Jewish people in Judea, primarily occurring from 66 to 73 CE. The war began due to rising tensions over Roman rule, heavy taxation, and religious oppression. The conflict escalated into a full-scale rebellion, leading to significant battles and the eventual siege of Jerusalem.
The war culminated in the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, a pivotal event in Jewish history. The conflict ended with the fall of Masada in 73 CE, where Jewish defenders chose to commit suicide rather than surrender to Roman forces.
