Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte
Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte was a French military leader born on January 26, 1763. He rose to prominence during the French Revolution and served under Napoleon Bonaparte. Bernadotte was known for his strategic skills and played a significant role in various military campaigns across Europe.
In 1810, he was unexpectedly elected as the Crown Prince of Sweden, taking the name Charles John. Bernadotte later became King Charles XIV John of Sweden in 1818. His reign marked a period of stability and modernization in Sweden, and he is remembered for fostering good relations with neighboring countries.
