Japanese Education System
The Japanese education system is structured into several levels: elementary, junior high, high school, and higher education. Education is compulsory for children from ages 6 to 15, covering elementary school (6 years) and junior high school (3 years). Most students continue to high school for an additional 3 years, although it is not mandatory.
The curriculum emphasizes core subjects such as mathematics, science, Japanese, and English, along with moral education and physical activities. Schools focus on discipline, teamwork, and respect, fostering a strong sense of community among students. After high school, many students pursue further studies at universities or vocational schools.
