James Howard, 3rd Earl of Suffolk
James Howard, 3rd Earl of Suffolk, was an English nobleman born in 1620. He was the son of Thomas Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk and Mary Wotton. James became the 3rd Earl after his father's death in 1640. He was known for his involvement in the political and social affairs of his time, particularly during the tumultuous period of the English Civil War.
Suffolk was a supporter of the Royalist cause, aligning himself with King Charles I. His loyalty to the monarchy led to his imprisonment after the king's defeat. James Howard passed away in 1671, leaving behind a legacy tied to the turbulent history of 17th-century England.
