Jalaluddin Khilji
Jalaluddin Khilji was the founder of the Khilji dynasty in India, ruling from 1290 to 1296. He ascended the throne after the assassination of his predecessor, Balban, and aimed to expand his empire. His reign is noted for military campaigns against the Mongols and efforts to strengthen the central authority of his kingdom.
Jalaluddin is also recognized for his administrative reforms and patronage of arts and culture. He established a more efficient tax system and promoted trade, which contributed to the economic stability of his empire. His rule laid the groundwork for his successor, Alauddin Khilji, who further expanded the dynasty's influence.
