Jalal ad-Din as-Suyuti
Jalal ad-Din as-Suyuti was a prominent Egyptian scholar and theologian born in 1445. He is best known for his contributions to Islamic scholarship, particularly in the fields of Quranic exegesis, Hadith, and Islamic jurisprudence. As-Suyuti authored over 500 works, making him one of the most prolific writers in Islamic history.
His most famous work is the Tafsir al-Jalalayn, a widely used commentary on the Quran co-authored with Jalal ad-Din al-Mahalli. As-Suyuti's influence extended beyond his lifetime, and his writings continue to be studied and respected in the Muslim world today.
