Jain Community
The Jain Community is a religious group originating from India, known for its principles of non-violence, truth, and asceticism. Followers, called Jains, believe in the concept of ahimsa, which emphasizes non-harm to all living beings. The community is divided into two main sects: Digambara and Svetambara, each with distinct beliefs and practices.
Jains practice strict vegetarianism and often avoid foods that involve harm to microorganisms. They celebrate various festivals, such as Paryushana and Mahavir Jayanti, honoring their spiritual leaders, particularly Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara, who is considered the founder of modern Jainism.
