Digambara
Digambara is one of the two main sects of Jainism, an ancient Indian religion that emphasizes non-violence and truth. The term "Digambara" means "sky-clad," referring to the practice of its monks who traditionally do not wear clothes, symbolizing their renunciation of material possessions.
Digambaras believe that achieving spiritual liberation requires complete detachment from worldly life. They hold that women must be reborn as men to attain the highest spiritual state, which contrasts with the beliefs of the other major sect, Svetambara. Both sects share core principles but differ in practices and interpretations of Jain scriptures.
