Jacques Montgolfier
Jacques Montgolfier was a French paper manufacturer born on August 26, 1745. He is best known for his pioneering work in the development of hot air balloons. Along with his brother, Joseph-Michel Montgolfier, Jacques conducted experiments that led to the first successful flight of a hot air balloon in 1783.
The Montgolfier brothers' invention marked a significant milestone in aviation history. Their balloon, made of paper and cloth, was filled with hot air, allowing it to rise into the sky. This achievement inspired further advancements in flight and laid the groundwork for modern aeronautics.
