Joseph Montgolfier
Joseph Montgolfier was a French paper manufacturer born on August 26, 1740. He is best known for his pioneering work in the development of hot air balloons. Along with his brother, Étienne Montgolfier, Joseph conducted experiments that led to the first successful flight of a hot air balloon in 1783.
