Jackass Penguins
The Jackass Penguin, also known as the African Penguin, is a species native to the southwestern coast of Africa. They are easily recognized by their distinctive black and white coloring and the unique braying sound they make, which resembles a donkey, hence the name "jackass." These penguins typically stand about 2 feet tall and weigh between 5 to 11 pounds.
Jackass Penguins primarily feed on small fish, such as sardines and anchovies, and are excellent swimmers, using their wings as flippers to navigate underwater. They are social birds, often found in large colonies, and they nest in burrows or under rocks to protect their eggs from predators.
