Irish nationalists
Irish nationalists are individuals or groups who advocate for the unification of Ireland and the establishment of an independent Irish Republic. They seek to promote Irish culture, language, and identity, often opposing British rule in Northern Ireland.
The movement has a long history, with roots in the 19th century and significant events like the Easter Rising of 1916. Irish nationalists have used various methods, including political activism and peaceful protests, as well as armed struggle, to achieve their goals. Key organizations include Sinn Féin and the Irish Republican Army (IRA).
