Indo-Iranian language family
The Indo-Iranian language family is a major branch of the larger Indo-European language family. It includes languages spoken primarily in the Indian subcontinent and Iran. This family is divided into three main groups: Indo-Aryan, Iranian, and Nuristani. Languages like Hindi, Bengali, and Persian are prominent examples.
The Indo-Aryan group is mainly found in India and surrounding countries, while the Iranian group is spoken in Iran and parts of Central Asia. The Nuristani languages are less widely spoken and are found in northeastern Afghanistan. Together, these languages share common linguistic features and historical roots.
