Indian Rhino
The Indian Rhino, also known as the Indian rhinoceros or one-horned rhinoceros, is a large herbivorous mammal native to the Indian subcontinent. It is characterized by its thick, gray skin, which has folds that resemble armor, and a single horn on its snout. Indian Rhinos primarily inhabit grasslands and forests, particularly in Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park in Assam, India.
These rhinos are known for their solitary behavior, although they may gather in small groups near water sources. They primarily feed on grasses, leaves, and fruits. The Indian Rhino is classified as vulnerable due to habitat loss and poaching for its horn, which is highly valued in some cultures. Conservation efforts are ongoing to protect this unique species.
