Immune Deficiency
Immune deficiency occurs when the body's immune system is unable to effectively fight off infections and diseases. This can be due to genetic factors, certain medical conditions, or the use of medications that suppress the immune response. People with immune deficiency are more susceptible to frequent infections and may experience more severe symptoms.
There are two main types of immune deficiency: primary and secondary. Primary immune deficiency is usually inherited and present at birth, while secondary immune deficiency can develop later in life due to factors like HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, or chemotherapy. Proper diagnosis and treatment are essential for managing this condition.
