Immune Deficiencies
Immune deficiencies occur when the body's immune system is unable to effectively fight off infections and diseases. This can happen due to genetic factors, certain medical conditions, or the use of medications that suppress the immune response. People with immune deficiencies are more susceptible to frequent infections and may experience more severe symptoms.
There are two main types of immune deficiencies: primary and secondary. Primary immune deficiencies are usually inherited and present at birth, while secondary immune deficiencies can develop later in life due to factors like HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, or chemotherapy. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for managing these conditions.
