Idris I
Idris I was the founder of the Idrisid dynasty in Morocco and is considered the first king of Morocco. He was born in 717 AD in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and was a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. Idris I fled to North Africa to escape political turmoil in his homeland and established a new state in the region of Fes.
Idris I played a significant role in spreading Islam in Morocco and is credited with introducing the religion to the Berber tribes. His reign lasted until his death in 791 AD, and he is remembered as a key figure in Moroccan history, with his legacy continuing through his descendants.
